Sadzi Oliva

Sadzi Oliva is the president of Aqua Indiana, which provides water and wastewater services to more than 90,000 people in 15 counties across the state. Aqua Indiana is a subsidiary of Essential (NYSE: WTRG), one of the largest publicly traded water, wastewater and natural gas providers in the U.S., serving approximately 5.5 million people across 9 states. 

In her role, Oliva leads water and wastewater operations, overseeing capital investment, regulatory compliance and customer service across Indiana. 

Professional History 

Oliva has more than 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, spanning regulatory leadership, legal expertise and community engagement. Prior to Aqua Indiana, Oliva served as the Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Community at United Scrap Metal. Her career includes serving as a Commissioner with the Illinois Commerce Commission and holding senior leadership and legal roles with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.

Education & Professional Memberships 

Oliva earned her Bachelor’s in French and International Politics from DePaul University and her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and sits on the Board of Directors for Chicago Commons and recently served as a Mentor for Advancing Women Leaders in Energy at NARUC.
