Christina Kelly, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer - Essential Utilities Leadership Team

Christina Kelly is senior vice president, chief human resources officer of Essential Utilities, Inc. (NYSE: WTRG), one of the largest publicly traded water, wastewater and natural gas providers in the U.S., serving approximately 5.5 million people across 10 states.  

In her role, Kelly is responsible for ensuring the entire human resources function is aligned and has a clear sense for how to best support employees throughout the organization. 

Kelly led the human resources integration process for the Company’s acquisition of natural gas distribution company Peoples, which nearly doubles the organization’s employee headcount from 1,600 to more than 3,100 people across 10 states. She and her HR team led the successful implementation of Workday, an HR software that brings the full suite of people programs from benefits to talent management right to employees and managers desks.

Professional History
Kelly brings more than two decades of experience running both domestic and international human resources teams, focused on organizational and human resources effectiveness. Kelly was named to her current role in May 2018, following more than seven years at AmerisourceBergen Corporation, where she held the title of vice president of human resources – HR operations. Prior to AmerisourceBergen, Kelly was a senior HR consultant for WillisTowersWatson leading HR consulting engagements. Kelly has more than 15 years of experience leading human resource teams and executing on business strategies for corporate organizations. 

Education 
Kelly received a B.S. in business administration from Villanova University, an M.B.A. from West Chester University and holds a certification in human resources from Villanova University.
