Vice President, Chief of Staff, Investor Relations and Communications, Essential Utilities
Brian Dingerdissen is vice president, chief of staff, investor relations and communications for Essential Utilities, Inc. (NYSE: WTRG), one of the largest publicly traded water, wastewater and natural gas providers in the U.S., serving approximately 5 million people across 10 states.
As chief of staff, Dingerdissen maintains effective connections with key operations and functional staff across the Company, serving as an extension of the CEO's office, identifying potential issues and opportunities. In addition to his chief of staff duties, Dingerdissen is responsible for the overall investor relations, communications and environmental social governance (ESG) programs for the Company. Dingerdissen is also responsible for communications with all stakeholders, cultivating shareholder relationships and keeping them informed, while assisting the chief executive officer in the performance of his duties
Since Dingerdissen assumed leadership of investor relations in June 2008, shareholder value of the Company has grown by more than 300 percent. He played a key role in the successful CEO transition at the Company in 2015 including the formation and implementation of a new leadership team and growth strategy. In 2019, he led the investor relations efforts for the Company’s successful secondary public equity offering of $2 billion to secure financing for its acquisition of natural gas distribution company Peoples.
Prior to his current role, Dingerdissen served as VP, chief of staff and investor relations at the Company beginning in July 2015. Additionally, from September 2017 thru May 2018, Dingerdissen served as the Company’s Interim Chief Human Resources Officer.
Prior to that role, he served as director of investor relations and director of national field services. He managed the Company’s relationships with the investment community and led outreach tactics to enhance communications with sell-side analysts and institutional and retail investors and was the primary business owner of the Company’s workflow management systems across regulated operations, during which time the Company implemented new asset management and business intelligence programs. Dingerdissen joined the Company in 2005.

Dingerdissen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance and his MBA from Villanova University. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Villanova Executive MBA Alumni and the Philadelphia chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute.
