Bob Ervin

Bob Ervin is the president of Aqua Indiana, which provides water and wastewater services to over 90,000 people in 15 counties across the state. Aqua Indiana is a subsidiary of Essential Utilities, Inc. (NYSE: WTRG), one of the largest publicly traded water, wastewater and natural gas providers in the U.S, serving approximately 5.5 million people in 10 states.

In his role, Ervin leads water and wastewater operations throughout the company’s Indiana business, including water resources, safety performance, environmental and regulatory compliance, infrastructure improvement projects and customer growth.

Professional History

Ervin has over 24 years of experience with the company and its partners, including a lengthy tenure with Aqua Illinois.

After serving eight years as an area manager for Aqua Illinois’ Danville customers, Ervin was promoted to operations director in 2019, where he streamlined systems and standards across 30 water systems and 16 wastewater systems. Ervin’s profound leadership resulted in his elevation to Aqua Illinois’ president in 2022 before he transitioned to this leadership role at Aqua Indiana. He excels at improving operations, nurturing long-term partnerships and serving customers with excellence.

Ervin previously served as Vermilion Advantage Board Chairman, OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation Vice Chairman, Danville Family YMCA Board President and board member of Trinity Lutheran School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University – along with course credentials from institutions such as the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Boston University, University of Notre Dame and Cornell University.
